Open cmd, use syntax RD /S /Q "pathname" where: /S : Delete all files and subfolders in addition to the folder itself. Click Advanced. same issue deleting it though.
it's weird that it won't go away. It should now allow you to delete the shortcut. Confirm your account is added to the group. Can't Delete Icons From Desktop Windows 10 i just didn't want to d/l another OS for such a trivial issue.

I saw a folder named New folder, and I went on to delete it, I found that I was unable to and received error message boxes. Click "Full Control", then ok out completely.
