It works but at the same time the file Dc27 was created automatically, along with Dc28, 29, 30. It's not a GC and it isn't being protected. Really easy and efficient one. The original 2003 DC had physical issues and I shut down probably over a year ago and I'll say that it is not likely to be recoverable.
