Its quit simple and easy method to solve this kind of problem. i just got a fat old monitor yesterday and it said it wasn't in freqency range so i got a new slim dell monitor today and when i turned it one Try booting up into safe mode and then changing your settings back to 1024x768 (or lower) it should work fine then.
