If you choose Deleted Mailbox, it becomes the default action in the Mail App for that account.

MikeThis works well on my iPhone but still have the same problem on my MAC. I have comcast and now when I delete the mail it reappears the next time I open my mail. I tried moving the message to the trash folder, instead of swiping them to the trash, and some messages disappeared, but some others came back again and again.

I'm having the same issue. This can happen with IMAP accounts that require that the Path Prefix be set to INBOX.
