Disconnect Network Drive This Network Connection Does Not Exist
Even in Windows 8 you have to wait quite some time for the right-click context menu to appear for an unavailable mapping. Ran "net use" and it did not report anything. However, at home where I'm not connected to work, it still maps the drives and logs me into my domain profile as if I'm still logged into the domain, even though The 2nd one could only be got rid of through deleting the MountPoints2 registry key as described here.

Then re-register the PC to your Domain as per normal and you will find that the offending drives are gone and you can re-establish your required network mappings.
