How did you fix the problem or get your computer back to a working state? That’s not a very helpful solution though, since it essentially means you won’t be using any of those restore points, but it’s likely going to be the end result. It's possible to just take daily image backups but usually that takes longer than backing up data separately, depending on how much data you have.
