I was able to delete the recovery file on my server. This means a) one directory & file name pair can be <=255 characters in length b) NN directory names (or a 'path' ) + the longest filename in the last subdir I spent hours (over 3) trying to delete a few super-long folders that I accidentally transferred over to my computer when I was trying to rescue a friend's hard drive (from if the directory is: c:\this\is\my\folder\path, you would type cd /d c:\this\is\my\folder\path and hit enter.
